Ingredients
  • 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • OR 1/2 cup Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1/2 cup Jif® Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups Pillsbury BEST™ All Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup Jif® Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup Smucker's® Hot Fudge Microwaveable Topping
Preparation Directions
  • Step 1Heat oven to 350°F. Coat a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.
  • Step 2Beat brown sugar, shortening, peanut butter and eggs in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Add gradually to peanut butter mixture, beating on low speed until well blended. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or set in center and until lightly browned. Remove from oven. Heat broil to HIGH.
  • Step 3For Topping: MICROWAVE peanut butter in small microwave-safe bowl on HIGH 45 to 60 seconds or until thin and smooth when stirred. Spread evenly over hot bars. Top evenly with marshmallows.
  • Step 4Broil bars, with top on pan about 4 inches from heat source, 2 to 3 minutes or until marshmallows are lightly toasted. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Heat fudge topping according to package directions. Drizzle about 1/4 cup topping over bars. Chill 15 minutes to set topping. Coat blade of a sharp knife with no-stick cooking spray. Cut into bars.
