Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Summer Cake! I made this for my daughter's birthday party and not only did I get a ton of compliments on it but there wasn't any cake left by the end of the day. I will admit I'm not a fan of boxed mixes or canned frosting but strawberry flavored cake is harder to make from scratch and I wanted something quick and easy so I relented. The frosting from the can is not to my liking but mixed with cool whip really lightens it up and makes it very yummy! I would make this again and again. We all loved the jam in the middle as well.
