Ingredients

BLONDIE BATTER

  • 1 cup sifted Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white baking chips

MAPLE BUTTER SAUCE

  • 3/4 cup Hungry Jack® Butter Flavored Syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (optional), optional
  • Vanilla ice cream

Preparation Directions

  • For Batter: HEAT oven to 350°F. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nuts in a small bowl. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, stir in brown sugar, egg and vanilla until combined. Add flour mixture 1/3 at a time until incorporated. Mix in white baking chips. SPREAD into prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool, cut into squares.

  • For sauce: WARM syrup and butter in a small saucepan over low heat until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Add walnuts, if desired. Serve each blondie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with maple butter sauce.
