Ingredients
  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Pillsbury BEST™ All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation Directions
  • Step 1Heat oven to 350ºF. Spray an 8-inch square pan with no-stick cooking spray.
  • Step 2Melt shortening and chocolate together in large saucepan; cool. Stir in egg yolks. Stir in vanilla, sugar, flour, and nuts (mixture will be crumbly).
  • Step 3Beat egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form. Fold into chocolate mixture. Spread batter in prepared pan.
  • Step 4Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting.
