  • 4 (6 oz.) boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 pounds)
  • 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup corn flake crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 cup Pillsbury BEST™ All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 (12 oz.) can PET® Evaporated Milk
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Preparation Directions
  • Step 1For Country Chicken: POUND chicken breasts to even 1/2-inch thickness. Combine seasoned salt, pepper and thyme; sprinkle evenly over each side of chicken breasts. Coat with corn flake crumbs.
  • Step 2Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat until hot. Sauté chicken 3 to 4 minutes per side or until instant-read thermometer reaches 165°F. Transfer chicken to serving platter. Keep warm.
  • Step 3For Creamy Gravy: WHISK oil, flour, salt and pepper in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk in milk and broth until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in chives; serve over warm chicken.
