Funfetti® Color Me Stars and Stripes® Cupcakes
Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per package instructions
1/2 teaspoon red food color
1/2 teaspoon blue food color
1 to 2 containers
HEAT oven to 350°F. Line 24 muffin cups with paper baking cups. Prepare cake batter according to package instructions using water, oil and eggs. Place 1-1/2 cups batter into 2 separate small bowls. Tint one bowl with red food color, the other with blue food color. Do not tint remaining batter.
DIVIDE blue batter into baking cups. Top evenly with plain batter, and then red batter. Do not stir. Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
FROST cupcakes. Sprinkle with candy bits from frosting.
