Italian Parmesan Pull Apart Bread
INGREDIENTS
1 box Pillsbury™ Homemade White Bread Mix
1 cup Warm water
2 Tablespoons Soft Butter (for bread mix)
1 Egg
2/3 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
5 Tablespoons Melted Butter (for the bread assembly)
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Combine bread mix and yeast in a mixing bowl; mix well. Add 1 cup (224g) warm water 90-100°F, 2 tablespoons soft butter (28g), and 1 egg (52g). Stir until soft dough forms. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.
Step 2
Knead dough 5 minutes until smooth. To knead, fold dough over towards you. Press down and away with the heels of your hands. Rotate dough a quarter turn; continue kneading. Sprinkle additional flour over surface to reduce stickiness.
Step 3
Coat a bowl with no stick spray. Place dough in bowl and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Allow to rest in a warm place 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Step 4
Pre-heat oven to 375°F. Coat 10-inch fluted tube pan with no stick cooking spray.
Step 5
Combine parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl.
Step 6
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Divide dough into 16 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball. Dip in melted butter. Roll in parmesan spice mixture. Arrange in prepared tube pan. Cover with plastic wrap. Allow to rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
Step 7
Bake in pre-heated 375 °F oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 8
Cool for 5 minutes. Gently loosen bread from the center and edge of the pan, using a knife. Remove from pan to wire rack.
Step 9
Enjoy pull apart bread warm.
