Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle
Additional ingredients to prepare brownie mix per package instructions
1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 bananas, sliced
1/4 cup chopped cocktail peanuts or other garnish
PREPARE brownie mix according to package instructions using oil, water and eggs, baking in 13 x 9-inch pan. Cool completely.
CUT brownies into 48 (1 1/2-inch) squares. Layer 1/3 of brownies in bottom of 2-quart trifle dish or glass bowl. Top with 2 cups whipped topping, dropping by small spoonfuls. Arrange half of banana slices over whipped topping.
TOP with half of remaining brownies and then peanut butter frosting, dropping frosting by small spoonfuls. Arrange remaining banana slices over frosting.
TOP with remaining brownies. Spread remaining whipped topping on top of trifle. Sprinkle with peanuts. Chill until ready to serve.
