1 box Pillsbury™ Hot Roll Mix

½ cup sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 cup hot water (120° to 130°F)

5 tablespoons butter, softened and divided

1 egg

1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped (optional_

flour for dusting the surface


1 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract


Step 1

Coat a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with nonstick spray.

Step 2

Combine hot roll mix and yeast packet with sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Stir in water, 4 tablespoons butter, egg, and pecans and mix for 5 minutes. Cover and let rest 5 minutes.

Step 3

Lightly flour countertop. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Dough will be sticky. Roll each piece into a ball using more flour as necessary and place in prepared pan. Cover loosely with plastic wrap. Let rise in warm place (80 to 90°F) for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

Step 4

Heat oven to 375℉. Uncover dough. Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 5

Brush hot rolls with remaining 1 tablespoon melted butter.

Step 6

To make glaze, stir together powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Glaze while rolls are still warm.
