Nonstick cooking spray

2 cups Pillsbury BEST All Purpose Flour, sifted

1 package active dry yeast

1 (5 oz.) jar sharp process American cheese spread

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup All-Vegetable Shortening

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 large egg


Step 1

COMBINE 1 cup flour and yeast in medium bowl. Spray 12 muffin cups with no-stick cooking spray.

Step 2

HEAT cheese spread, water, shortening, sugar and salt in medium saucepan just until warm (115 to 120ºF), stirring until shortening almost melts; add to dry mixture. Add egg. Beat with electric mixer at low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl.

Step 3

BEAT 3 minutes at high speed. By hand, stir in remaining flour. Turn out onto floured surface. Shape into 12 rolls; place in prepared muffin pans. Let rise until nearly double in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Step 4

HEAT oven to 350ºF. Bake rolls 15 to 18 minutes.
