Step 1

Heat oven to 400°F.

Step 2

Coat a doughnut hole pan with nonstick spray.

Step 3

Prepare cake mix using ¾ cup water, oil, and 2 eggs and beat according to package directions. Fill pan with 1 level tablespoon of cake batter.

Step 4

Bake for 7-8 minutes or until tops spring back when touched. Cool in pan 2-3 minutes. Repeat with remaining cake batter.

Step 5

Pour frosting into a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30-45 seconds, stirring every 10 seconds until it is loose. Add milk and stir until well combined. Dip doughnut holes , turning to coat completely. Drop into waxed or parchment paper and add sprinkles. Let sit for a few minutes for frosting to firm up.
