Funfetti® Pound Cake for Fairy Bread
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
HEAT oven to 325°F. Coat 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with no-stick cooking spray. Dust with flour.
BEAT cream cheese and butter in large bowl with mixer on high speed until fluffy. Add cake mix, eggs, water, oil and vanilla. Beat on low speed until evenly moistened. Beat on medium speed 1 minute or until batter is smooth. Spread evenly in prepared pan.
BAKE 65 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack to cool completely.
TO MAKE FAIRY BREAD: HEAT broiler to HIGH. Cut loaf into 3/4-inch thick slices. Place on baking sheet. Broil 5 inches from heat 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly toasted. Turn and broil an additional 1 to 2 minutes until lightly toasted. Let cool. Spread about 1 tablespoon frosting over each slice. Combine candy bits from frosting with nonpareil sprinkles in small cup. Sprinkle generously over frosting. Cut into shapes, if desired.
