Christmas Light Cake Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 package Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Holiday Cake Mix
1 tub Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Holiday Green Vanilla Frosting
1 tub Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Vanilla Frosting
Ingredients to make cake mix according to package instructions
½ cup M&Ms
Sprinkles from Funfetti Holiday Green/Red Frosting
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Prepare the cake mix according to package directions to make 2 (9-inch) cake layers. Cool completely.
Step 2
Level cake layers with a serrated knife. Place 1 cake layer on cake plate. Spread Vanilla icing on top of cake. Top with another cake layer. Spread frosting on whole cake. Using a spatula, smooth the top and sides of the cake.
Step 3
Use a piping bag fitted with a round tip to pipe wiggling and looping lines on the top and sides of cake - this will be the wire for the lights.
Step 4
Place M&Ms along the green frosting wire - these will be your light bulbs.
Step 5
Add sprinkles around the base of the cake.
