Funfetti® Cake Mix Pretzels
2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 package)
1 ¼ cup warm water
½ tsp salt
3 tablespoons baking soda
10 cups water (for boiling)
MIX cake & cupcake mix with yeast, 1 ¼ cup warm water, and salt until just combined. Knead in all-purpose flour until a dough ball forms. Cover and let sit at room temperature for 1 hour or until doubled.
SPRINKLE flour onto a clean works surface. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal-sized pieces. Roll each piece into a 16-inch rope. Shape into pretzels.
BOIL 10 cups of water and slowly add baking soda. Slowly add pretzels to water in batches and boil until they start to float.
BAKE in a preheated 350℉ for 11-15 minutes. Allow to cool. Drizzle on melted frosting and sprinkle on sprinkles from the frosting tub.
