Funfetti® Father's Day Cake Recipe
Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per box directions
Blue and teal food coloring
Piping tip (number 4B)
PREPARE cake mix according to box instructions in a 13x9 baking dish. Cool completely.
SPREAD Funfetti vanilla frosting in a thin layer onto the cooled cake. Freeze for 30 minutes. Trace “DAD” onto parchment paper or printer paper and cut out individual letters.
DIVIDE Funfetti vanilla frosting tub into desired amount of colors for center “DAD” design. Add food coloring and stir to combine thoroughly. Place each color of frosting into a piping bag without a piping tip. Pipe small horizontal strips of frosting onto a cake spatula, alternating colors.
REMOVE cake from freezer. Place “DAD” letters onto the center of the cake. Spread the frosting on the cake spatula over the “DAD” letters. If needed, repeat for thicker coverage. Carefully peel “DAD” letters off. Filing in the “DAD” with sprinkles from the frosting tub.
SPOON remaining frosting into a piping bag fitted with a piping tip (number 4B). Pipe decorative border around cake and serve.
