Basic Yellow Cake with Chocolate Fudge Frosting
PREPARE cake mix according to package directions using water, oil and eggs. Bake in 2 (8-inch) round cake pans according to package directions. Cool completely on wire rack.
PLACE one cake layer on cake plate, rounded side down. Spread 3/4 cup frosting on top of cake.
TOP with remaining cake layer, rounded side up. Frost top and sides of cake with remaining frosting.
