Preheat oven to 350℉. Line muffin tins with 24 cupcake liners.
Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions. Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
Fill a piping bag, fitted with a star tip, with frosting. Pipe swirls on top of each cupcake.
Spread a little frosting on the base of your Hershey Kisses, using it to glue the base to the bottom of your cookie. Dip the bottom of your mini chips into frosting to attach to top of cookie.
Place your "acorn" on top of your cupcake!
